The company Biomed Aid DOOEL Skopje was founded in 2011 and the main activity of the company is the trade of medical equipment and medical aids.

Towards the end of 2011, as part of its work sphere, the company began to offer the possibility for taking material and cryopreservation of stem cells from newborns, along with cryopreservation of stem cells from the deciduous teeth of older children.

Ever since the beginning, the company is particularly interested in the field of cells and their therapeutic application. We have always been interested and we try to get a chance to establish a cooperation in the field of application of cells in various types of therapy in every way possible, with a cooperation with many laboratories in the world.

At the end of 2012, the realization of this idea of ours began to take place. Namely, we began to develop the molecular therapy for various forms of cancer in cooperation with Dr. Alfred Barich, an eminent oncologist from the USA. The therapy was initially prepared in a laboratory in Thessaloniki, Greece, whereas, the application of the therapy was and is still carried out in the General Hospital Euromedika in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Over time, we have obtained better results from the treatments, but we have also acquired knowledge that we can do so much more and thus we have grown beyond our limitations. As a result, in the beginning of 2014 we have established a cooperation with one of the largest laboratories in the world in the field of diagnosis of oncological diseases R.G.C.C. (Research Genetic Cancer Center) in Zug, Switzerland.

Their capacities in molecular profiling of malignant diseases are truly unlimited. This is why we tackled this issue extensively and we have become representatives of this laboratory for the Balkan countries. Since the beginning of June, 2014, the complete molecular therapy for our patients is prepared in our laboratory. The protocols for taking the material, the transport to the laboratory and return of the prepared therapy to the hospital in Thessaloniki, where it is applied, has been carried out by respecting all of the highest protection standards.

Bearing in mind the fact that our interest never stops, by cooperating with the experts of the laboratory in Switzerland, we have come to a conclusion that it is possible to prepare a molecular therapy from stem cells which is applicable for treatment of auto-immune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, lupus and other. We have immediately begun our preparation and recently, since 2015 we have started to provide active treatment for patients with these types of diseases.

Our most recent and newest field of interest lies in the potential for noninvasive prenatal detection of the danger of onset of diseases such as Down syndrome and other in newborns, with a simple examination based on obtaining peripheral blood samples from the mother of the newborn.

The results in all fields of activities encourage us to continue with our pioneering actions in various fields of diagnosis and treatment which are a possibility. Therefore, we shall continuously research and seek new ways of approach to all of these possibilities so that they can be more accessible to patients in Balkan countries.
